NovaRow R50 Pro Air Rower with Upgraded Backlit Monitor

I've watched and read pretty much every review of the R50 rower. It took me a while to decide whether to get the R50 or the Concept. As all are aware, the R50 is always compared to the gold standard: The Concept C2. In most cases, it did quite well. Except for one major issue: the monitor. The R50 Pro addressed most of those monitor issues and moved the rower up to be a much closer competitor to the C2, in my opinion. The new monitor is larger, horizontal, back light, and has a lot more information. Also, the screens can be locked so you can work with just the information on one screen without the old annoying scanning through multiple screens. Is it as good as the PM5 monitor? Probably not. But the rower is half the cost and much of that cost of the C2 is because of the PM5 monitor. It certainly is the best monitor for competition, in my opinion.

The rower works very well. It's rail movement is smooth. The new seat is very comfortable. It's also more robust and heavier since it's steel rather than aluminum. The new monitor now shows: time, distance, calories, pulse, strokes, SPM, time/500, watts, the fan icon, SPM waveform, battery icon (now uses four AA batteries), and exercise mode.

If your looking to train for competition, you would probably need a C2. If, like me, you're a casual rower who's looking for a good workout, this is as close as it gets to a Concept 2 at half the cost.
