FAQs
Q: How do I choose the right model? What are the differences between Q1S Manual, Q1S Self-Powered, and Q1S Auto Electromagnetic rowers?
A: The main differences are automatic resistance adjustment and power source:
Automatic Resistance Adjustment:
Q1S Auto Electromagnetic and Q1S Self-Powered support smart resistance adjustment. When using the Merach APP, the machine will automatically adjust resistance in real-time based on the instructor’s settings. No manual adjustment is needed.
Q1S Manual does not have this function; you need to adjust the resistance manually.
Power Source:
Q1S Self-Powered is self-powered, meaning no external power source is needed. Simply start rowing, and the display will turn on. You can use it anywhere without worrying about power outlets.
Q1S Auto Electromagnetic must be plugged into a power outlet to function.
Q1S Manual Resistance runs on batteries.
Q: How high is the seat from the floor? Is it comfortable?
A: The seat is 320mm from the ground. It is comfortable, but for long workouts, adding a softer cushion is recommended, as sitting for extended periods on any seat may cause slight discomfort.
Q: I’m 6 feet tall and weigh 381 lbs. Can I use this rowing machine?
A: This machine supports users up to 6 feet 7 inches tall and 350 lbs in weight. It may not be suitable if you exceed this weight limit.
Q: What is the inseam length from the footrest to the furthest seat position?
A: The inseam length of this machine is 1180mm.
Q: What is the maximum resistance?
A: The maximum resistance is 35KG.
Q: Does the rower have a built-in display, or do I need an iPad for the best experience?
A: Q1S Self-Powered and Q1S Auto Electromagnetic have a knob-style display, which only shows the resistance level and Workout Time. To view workout data, you need to connect your own device via Bluetooth.
Q1S Manual Resistance includes an LCD display, which shows workout data directly.
Q: I have a Q1S rower. Is the display distance shown in miles or meters?
A: The display shows distance in kilometers (km).
Q: What are the differences between the power options?
A:Q1S Self-Powered is self-generating, meaning it powers on as soon as you start rowing. You don’t need a power outlet, allowing for more flexible placement.
Q1S Auto Electromagnetic requires a power outlet to function.
Q1S Manual Resistance uses batteries instead of a power cord.
Compared with traditional fitness equipment, this machine offers the following advantages:

Amazing rower!
I love this machine! I am new to rowing, but this one is everything I had hoped it would be. First, it's quiet. Second, the motion is fluid - not yanking or jerking. Third, it's comfortable. Sure your rear will feel it after about 20-30 minutes, but it's not unbearable. Fourth, the price was right and I love that it powers itself.
At the moment, I use the Kinomap App and I really like how it connects via bluetooth to my machine and automatically adjusts the resistance.
Speaking of resistance, I know some reviews say that 16 is not hard enough, but unless you are a seasoned rower, I can't see how 16 is not a hard enough resistance - go 10 minutes on 12 and you will feel the burn - go 10 on 16 and feel the torch!
There are only two criticisms on the rower. One, I do wish the handlebar were a bit wider - not sure why this one has the shorter width. And two, though the iPad holder is an added bonus, I do wish it were a bit higher as I find myself looking down on the iPad when rowing which unconsciously throws off my form.
