S27 Under Desk Bike Pedal

This is alright. The app, as others have complained, is really pathetic. I didn't use their sub-par batteries, but brand new energizer batteries. I had no problem pairing with my phone, or getting the app going. It finds the unit each time, but half the time when I start something, the app isn't actually showing anything happening, no revolutions, no speed, no distance. I have to end the workout and start again multiple times before it finally starts to do what it's supposed to. And not sure how it calculates the distance - seems WAY overestimated. I have to figure out a way to actually determine a better way to measure the impact of this, since the app seems to think that you're doing miles when there's no way there was that much effort or time.

And half the time if I pause for LESS THAN 5 SECONDS to change tension, the app tells me that my session is over and I can't continue. So I often end up with multiple results for a single session.

Physically though the unit is solid. Not making any weird noises, assembly was simple and everything is tight. Resistance is easy to adjust and has a good range to choose from.

The feet are bad though out of the box. Even on their pad, it has a tendency to slide around because the rubber feet spin around the metal bars they're on. I ended up taking some duct tape and wrapping it around the ends of the shafts, then using a mallet to hammer the rubber feet over those. Now it stays more stable and doesn't slide forward as the feet rotate under any pressure.

We'll see how it works long term for my joint issues. My knees are NOT happy with me on an actual bicycle so I'm hoping this gives me some good movement without the pain. It is used in tandem with my treadmill doing the Conqueror Challenges.

Nice machine. Easy to assemble and use. Also nice app for tracking exercies.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was hoping to be able to use it under my desk. However, I have a sliding tray for my keyboard, and my legs are long enough so that when I tried it under the desk my knees hit the tray. Also, it doesn't work well if you have a desk chair with wheels, unless you have wheel locks.

On the other hand, it works very well in our great room when sitting on the couch to watch news or movies, so I'm using it for a couple of hours every day and will be increasing both time and rigour of the workouts over time.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who works from home and she loves it!

This was perfect. I like it because you could change the speed. I can sit on my sofa and relax while I am exercising.

Heavy piece of equipment, much to heavy for your average elderly/disabled person to move to front of chair to use/move out of way when exercise routine completed.
