MERACH Growth Workspace Privacy Policy

MERACH Growth Workspace is an internal browser extension designed to help authorized MERACH operations, advertising, and site management teams view aggregated business analytics, collaborate on optimization requests, and monitor the results of operational changes.

1. Information processed

The extension may process:

• The URL path and title of the MERACH storefront page currently being viewed.
• Aggregated website analytics retrieved from the authorized MERACH PostHog project, including page views, sessions, visitors, conversion metrics, interaction metrics, survey summaries, and site-level performance data.
• Aggregated advertising performance data retrieved from an authorized company-managed Convbox or advertising data endpoint.
• Optimization requests, task descriptions, assigned roles, adjustment records, task status, and monitoring periods submitted through the extension.
• Extension configuration and user preferences, including authorized API endpoints and locally configured access credentials.

The extension is not designed to collect passwords, payment card information, private browsing history, or the content of unrelated websites.

2. How information is used

Information is used only to:

• Display page, advertising, and site-level analytics.
• Generate data summaries and optimization recommendations.
• Allow authorized teams to create, accept, and monitor optimization tasks.
• Preserve extension settings and workflow state.
• Diagnose technical problems and maintain the extension.

Information is not used for consumer advertising, profiling unrelated to MERACH business operations, or sale to third parties.

3. Data storage

The current version may store extension settings, access credentials, user preferences, and collaboration task data in Chrome local storage on the user's device.

Where company-managed backend services are configured, task and analytics data may also be processed and stored by MERACH-controlled systems according to internal access and retention policies.

4. Data sharing and external services

The extension may communicate with the following authorized services:

• PostHog, to retrieve aggregated website analytics.
• Company-managed Convbox or advertising data services, to retrieve aggregated advertising metrics.
• A company-managed AI service, to generate summaries from aggregated business metrics.

The extension does not sell user data. Data is shared only with authorized service providers or company-managed systems required to provide the extension’s functionality.

5. Security

Access to the extension and connected analytics systems is limited to authorized personnel. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect credentials and business data.

API credentials are used only to connect to the services configured by authorized users. OpenAI API credentials are not stored directly in the browser extension.

6. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored extension data remains on the user's device until it is removed through the extension settings, browser storage controls, or extension uninstallation.

Authorized users may request deletion of data stored in company-managed systems by contacting the address below.

7. Limited use

Information obtained through the extension is used only to provide and improve the extension’s stated functionality. Use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The latest version will be published at this URL.
