I was excited at the customer reviews, and very hopeful. However - when the box arrived I thought “wow…that’s a small box for a ROWING MACHINE”. Just thinking that I had my job laid out for assembly, I went ahead and started in on it. Quickly realized the photos online are not accurate at all. The photos with the grown man on this - look how big that machine looks! Then look at the photo with my hands…it is SO much smaller. I still went ahead and tried it, being my first rower. I’m still thinking of all those great reviews. So I get on it (whole other story…look at how low the seat is!!!!) I start to row, and quickly realized that (as an older lady who is NOT active) I was able to put the tension at 15, easy. AND each time I pulled back, the front lifted. Not sturdy and how can a machine that weighs 40 lbs (I missed that, so pointing it out for you) - a 40 lbs machine can NOT hold down an adult that is trying to get an actual workout in. This could be good for those that want to leisurely row, and I don’t know…pretend you’re on the water without a care in the world - because then maybe it would be ok. So mad - false advertising at its best!!
What a work out! Does not take up to much space either!
I am 6’8” 260 lb and it has been very hard to find an affordable rowing machine that will fit someone my size. I’m gonna honest, at this price point I was skeptical about the quality of this product, but this is one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon. This thing lacks the bells and whistles of the models that costs $1000 more, but it’s super well built and can give you a great workout. Even at my height I can do a full row extension and not hit the end of the machine like I do on 95% of rowers… so it’s a great purchase for tall people. Been using it about a month and I’m very happy I went with this model over the other more expensive options I was considering. I’m not that handy and I was able to easily put the machine together in about 30-40 min by myself. It has plenty of resistance and even for a big guy like me it gives a very challenging workout.
EDIT: Changing the seat is a deal maker! I used to have a herniated disc in my back and sitting on hard surfaces really agitates it. I need padding and even have a cushion in my car for when I encounter hard metal stools or hard wooden benches/chairs. The original seat was really nothing that but now that I have the extra padding from their store, I’m much more comfortable and can stay on longer, which is a plus!I wanted to love it but should just gotten a better model or brand that I’ve heard of. First couple uses were great! Seat is very uncomfortable for me and don’t like to sit as long as I’d like to work out.Would also love a backlit screen
Got this for my garage as I was burnt out on the treadmill. Came packaged well and was easy to put together. After about 30 minutes had it assembled. Feels study (6'2 240LB) and offers a good amount of resistance to play around with. App and Bluetooth nice addition as you can race against others online or have it track your exercises. So far, no complaints and loving the machine and workout I get from it.
